he European Commission published a Communication on a Savings and Investments Union in March 2025. It contains the strategy, as well as a list of actions, to progress in the integration of EU capital markets and the Banking Union. The objective of this hearing is to discuss on this strategy and what are the necessary building blocks. The discussion will also feed the EESC exploratory opinion on a Communication on a Savings and Investments Union, requested by the European Commission.
The EESC’s Section for Economic and Monetary Union and Economic and Social Cohesion (ECO) is organising a public hearing on the “Communication on a Savings and Investments Union”. The event will be held on 11 June 2025, from 9.30 to 13.00 hours, Brussels time.
