Mirela AGACHE-DURAND, Vice-Chair of AFG, CEO of Groupama AM

Mirela Agache Durand has been CEO of Groupama Asset Management since 2020. She has been Vice-Chair of the AFG since September 2020.
Mirela Agache Durand started her career at Renault in 1995 and was a research engineer until 1998. She then joined Oddo & Cie in 1998 as a financial engineer, managing diversified portfolios before being promoted to head of diversified and multi-management, a position she held until 2014. In 2014, she joined La Banque Postale Asset Management (LBPAM) as deputy director of management before becoming managing director of Tocqueville Finance (part of the LBPAM group) in 2017 until 2019. She took over as CEO of Groupama AM in February 2020.
Mirela Agache Durand holds a degree in Physics from the University of Iasi, a PhD in Plasma Physics from the University of Paris Sud Orsay and is also a CFA-certified analyst.

Alexandra JOUR-SCHROEDER, Deputy Director General, DG Financial Stability, Financial Services and Capital Markets Union, (DG FISMA), European Commission

Alexandra Jour-Schroeder was born in Germany. Since 1st of March 2021, she is deputy director general of the Directorate-General Financial Stability, Financial Services and Capital Markets Union (DG-FISMA) at the European Commission.
She conducted her early career as a civil servant in Germany, where she also studied law. She started working for the Commission in 1996 where from 1998 to 2007, she was Member of Cabinet for the Commissioners responsible for regional policy and justice and home affairs and then for the Vice-President for enterprise and industry.
In 2017, she has been the Director for Criminal Justice in the Directorate-General for Justice and Consumers, working on the establishment of a European Public Prosecutor´s Office and on Anti-Money Laundering policies. From 2018 to 2021, she was also overseeing consumer policies as Acting Deputy Director General in DG Justice and Consumers.
She worked largely in financial crime fight and in the previous AML legislative packages.

Emmanuel MASSE, Minister Counselor for Economic Affairs, Head of the Trade, Commercial and Financial Service, French Permanent Representation to the EU 

Emmanuel Massé, Minister Counsellor for Economic Affairs, has been Head of the Economic, Financial services and Trade Department at France’s Permanent Representation in Brussels since September 2023. Prior to this, he spent three years as Head of the Economic Department at the French Embassy in London. From 2015 to 2020, he was Head of the Macroeconomic and European Affairs Department at the French Treasury and Member of the Board of Directors of the European Investment Bank. Prior to that, he was in charge of various divisions within the financial services and public policy departments at the French Treasury. He is a graduate of Ecole Polytechnique and ENSAE ParisTech and holds a Master 2 in Mathematics from Université Pierre et Marie Curie (Paris VI).

Mario NAVA, Director General – DG Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion (DG EMPL), European Commission

Mario Nava is the Director-General of DG EMPL of the EU Commission. Previously, he was the Director-General of DG REFORM and has held Director and Head of Unit posts in the DG for Financial Services. He was also President of Italian Financial Market Authority. He teaches at Bocconi University and at Solvay Business School. In 2023, he was awarded the title of Bocconi Alumnus of the year.

Sirpa PIETIKAÏNEN, Member of the European Parliament

Sirpa Pietikäinen is a 5th term Member of the European Parliament for the EPP Group, an elected politician since the early 1980s and a former Finnish Minister of Environment.

Pietikäinen is an expert speaker on sustainable finance, capital markets and economic policy.

Philippe SETBON, Chair of AFG, CEO Natixis IM, Deputy CEO Natixis in charge of Asset & Wealth Management  

Philippe Setbon is Chief Executive Officer for Natixis Investment Managers. He began his career in 1990 as a financial analyst with Barclays Bank in Paris, before working for Groupe Azur-GMF for 10 years as Head of Asset Management. He then joined Generali Group in 2004 where he held a succession of senior roles including Chief Executive Officer of Generali Investments France, Chief Executive Officer of Generali Investments and Chief Investment Officer for Generali Group. He joined Groupama in 2013 as Chief Executive Officer of Groupama Asset Management. He became Chief Executive Officer of Ostrum Asset Management in 2019. In 2023, he became CEO of Natixis Investment Managers. In January 2025, he was appointed deputy Chief Executive Officer at Natixis, in charge of asset and wealth management and member of the BPCE Executive Committee.
Since June 2022, Philippe Setbon has been Chairman of the French Asset Management Association (AFG).
He holds a Master and a Post-Graduate Diploma (DESS) in Finance from Paris-Dauphine University and is a graduate of the French Society of Financial Analysts (SFAF).

Moderator of the roundtable: Tanguy VAN DE WERVE, Director General of EFAMA

Tanguy became the Head of EFAMA in December 2018. In that capacity, he leads in the formulation of industry positions on the main policy developments and engages with relevant EU and international authorities.

He is a member of ESMA’s Securities and Markets Stakeholder Group, chairs FinDatEx’s Steering Group and teaches ‘Business interest representation in the EU’ at the College of Europe in Bruges. Tanguy is also a member of the IIFA Board and sits on the Administrative Committee of the European Parliamentary Financial Services Forum.

Before joining EFAMA, he was Head of the Brussels office of AFME (European investment banking industry – 2015-2018), Director General of Leaseurope and Eurofinas (European leasing and consumer credit industries – 2006-2015), and Head of Banking Supervision and Capital Markets at the European Banking Federation (2001-2006). Other relevant roles include positions at Euroclear and Dexia as well as non-Executive Director of Belgium-domiciled UCITS (2006-2018).

He holds a degree in law from the University of Louvain-la-Neuve (BE) as well as a diploma in Political Sciences & International Relations and a certificate of specialised studies (DES) in Financial Risks Management.  

Tanguy speaks French, Dutch and English.
