Financial services
AI is already transforming the delivery of financial services. From trading to investment advances, machine judgement is being integrated into services and strategies.
This group will consider the balance of risk and opportunity in this greater use of automation in financial markets and investment management. Is it ushering in a new age of cheaper and more disinterested trading and investment freer from biases and irrationality? Is it concealing localised and systemic risks that need greater attention? How should financial regulators reframe questions of stability, responsibility and accountability in this context?

Panellists :

  • Christopher Woolard, Executive Director, Strategy and Competition, Financial Conduct Authority
  • Muriel Faure, Head of Innovation Committee, French Asset Management Association (AFG)
  • Simon Hills, Director, Prudential Policy, UK Finance
  • Moderated by Paul Myners, Vice Chairman, Global Counsel; former Financial Services Secretary, HM Treasury
