href=\"https:\/\/www.afg.asso.fr\/en\/publication\/afg-response-european-commission-call-for-evidence-savings-and-investment-accounts\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.afg.asso.fr\/en\/publication\/afg-response-european-commission-call-for-evidence-savings-and-investment-accounts\/\">response to the European Commission\u2019s call for evidence on Savings and Investment Accounts (SIAs)<\/a>.\u00a0In its response, AFG highlights that France already has in place SIAs that contribute to\u00a0long-term retail investment\u00a0and to\u00a0the\u00a0financing\u00a0of\u00a0the European economy, such as the PEA (Plan d\u2019\u00c9pargne en Action) and the individual PER (Plan d\u2019\u00c9pargne Retraite).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>AFG believes that EU Member States should be encouraged to introduce SIAs&nbsp;with&nbsp;the following characteristics, in line with the \u201cFinance Europe\u201d label:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>long-term investment horizon (e.g. minimum 5 years) ;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>broad range of eligible assets,\u00a0including notably UCITS and ELTIFs\u00a0;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>focus on investments in the European Union,\u00a0with a minimum threshold\u00a0;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>flexiblility\u00a0of design\u00a0(for instance it should be possible to propose non-advised as well as guided management solutions)\u00a0;\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>risk exposure\u00a0: a public or private guarantee should not be mandatory no even encouraged<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>AFG encourages\u00a0Member States to consider preferential tax treatments\u00a0to incentivize savers to invest in these SIAs in the long run.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These SIAs\u00a0should be easily accessible with a simple investor journey, through digital means but also\u00a0through\u00a0traditional channels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Finally, AFG reiterates that it will be important to support the introduction of SIAs and\/or the development of existing SIAs, with information campaigns and initiatives in terms of financial education.\u00a0AFG\u00a0attached the\u00a0<a
