{"id":114390,"date":"2025-03-12T17:59:39","date_gmt":"2025-03-12T16:59:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.afg.asso.fr\/?p=114390"},"modified":"2025-03-12T18:03:30","modified_gmt":"2025-03-12T17:03:30","slug":"nbfis-afg-response-to-an-fsb-consultation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.afg.asso.fr\/en\/nbfis-afg-response-to-an-fsb-consultation\/","title":{"rendered":"NBFIs &#8211; AFG response to an FSB consultation"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.afg.asso.fr\/fr\/publication\/levier-dans-les-institutions-financieres-non-bancaires-nbif-reponse-de-lafg-a-la-consultation-du-fsb\/\">AFG responds to the FSB consultation on leverage in non-bank financial institutions (NBFIs).<\/a><br><br>In this consultation, the FSB (Financial Stability Board) is seeking views on proposed recommendations aimed at better supervising the financial stability risk arising from leverage in the non-bank financial institutions sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In its response, the AFG stresses several points:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Finally, she stresses the <strong>need to focus on risks arising from unregulated players.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>It reiterates the soundness of the European framework for supervising leverage-related risks.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>It calls for greater transparency and predictability in the rules governing margin calls in cleared transactions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>It is also proposing the use of high-quality securities in addition to cash for margin calls.
