AFG – Association Française de la Gestion financière: change in Governance – Eric Pinon appointed as Chairman, and Philippe Setbon as Vice-Chairman

  • The Board of Directors held on May 30, 2017 appointed Yves Perrier as Honorary President of the AFG and paid tribute to the effective action led during his presidency which strongly contributed to increase the visibility of our profession, and demonstrated the ability of AFG to be a proactive force. He also strengthened the European and international action of the AFG both on lobbying and on promotion actions to support the development of French investment managing companies on an international scale.
  • The Board of directors has then appointed Eric Pinon as Chairman of the AFG and Philippe Setbon as vice-Chairman, for 2 years. As proposed by its new Chairman, the Board appointed the 15 members of its Strategic Committee.
  • The general assembly had previously approved the accounts of the Association and renewed for three years the administrators’ mandates of Alto Invest, Aviva Investors, Axa Investment Managers Paris, BNP Paribas Asset Management, CM-CIC Asset Management, CPR Asset Management and HSBC Global Asset Management France.
  • Eric Pinon declared: “The AFG will be, tomorrow even more than today, ready to meet the numerous challenges encountered by our activity. In order to give asset management its rightful place, we have to act resolutely for the education of the investors and strengthen the synergy between all the actors to increase our international competitiveness”.
  • “The asset management industry is one flagship of the French financial industry. It is engaged to fully play its strategic role in the service of savers and investors, strongly contributing to corporate financing and to the development of the economy “, added Yves Perrier.
